Artwork Submission

Please prepare your files in the following manner so the Virtual Packaging Team can produce your mock-ups quickly, and confidently. By following these guidelines, you also help to eliminate errors, and ensure that your project will be delivered correct, and on time.

01- Illustrator and Photoshop Files

All files must be saved as an Adobe Illustrator file (ai.). If you must use Photoshop files, save them as .TIFF, .PSD, or .EPS, with a resolution of at least 300ppi.

Fonts should be outlined in the illustrator file. If changes to next need to be made, please supply the live text, and font files.

When submitting PDFs for printing, save with “Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities”. We will also need fonts, and linked images.

Our digital process discards overprints, and instead we simulate the overprint effect by applying a multiply transparency layer.

Should be named properly in the swatch palette (For instance: PANTONE 485 C, or PANTONE Reflex Blue C). Incorrect Pantone names can result in inaccurate colors.

Dielines should be 100% in scale, and the strokes should indicate cut, score, and perforation lines in different colors. Fills or effects on lines cannot be processed.

A separate layer or file needs to be included indicating what area(s) are opaque and what area(s) are clear.

Similar to the white ink set up, a separate layer or file must indicate which area(s) of the artwork are metallic.

Uploading multiple files may take some time depending on the file sizes. To reduce upload times, compress artwork, group linked images into a folder, and avoid uploading duplicates.
