Stand Up Pouch

With a Variety of shapes and forms, the stand-up pouch is excellent for many products such as solids, liquids, powdered products, and non-food items. The exterior surface can be made to style your brand with any graphic or logo desired, while the interior area can be made to fit your dimension specifications with ease. Different types of laminate materials may be used to create different bags, depending on the desired use for the pouch. These types of product pouch packaging are especially great to have on shelves because of the ideal bottom gusset area they sit on.

Pillow Pouch

Arguably the most popular product pouch packaging choice, the pillow bag is used in many industry types because of its versatility and simpleness. This pouch typically contains a bottom and top seal, with a back seal that helps form the “pillow” shape. These pouches are used in almost every industry and for a wide variety of items such as potato chips, spices, pharmaceutical items, pet treats, toys, clothing and apparel, frozen meats, and vegetables—and that’s just to name a few. Pillow style packaging is also a great format for your on-the-go or single serve formats most commonly used in convenience stores and restaurants.

Side Gusset Pouch

Combined with extra space due to added sides, the side gusset pouch is a great choice for several products, including snack foods, dry ingredients, and frozen foods. With the added space provided, this pouch can hold more volume and weight. Typically, it stands on a flat bottom formed by its sealed shape. Because off its “flat” shaped front and back, this pouch can really give your logo or art a really nice “pop”. The sides may come in two different forms that we call terminated or non-terminated. The term “terminated” simply shows a shorter side height than the height of the front and back, giving the bag a more defined shape at the top. Non-terminated pouches have same side height as the front and back of the bag, essentially allowing the shape of the bag to flow and look more symmetrical at the top and bottom.

Flat Bottom Box Pouch

Also known as a 5-sided bag, flat bottom box pouches are the sturdiest when it comes to standing. A main reason why is that all 4 sides of the bottom gusset are sealed tightly all around to form the unique shape, hence the name “bottom box”. Like the side gusset pouch, this bag can have side terminations or non-terminated sides. This particular pouch is great for ANY type of product!

If you’re looking for a pouch with the sharpest look, then these are the pouches for you. Having no gusset bottom, these pouches are excellent for slimmer products, such as single wipes, powdered items, or small quantity products. The main difference between a 3-side seal and a 4-side seal bag is that the 4-sided seal has all around seals on every edge. The 3-sided seal has 2 sides and the top sealed, while the bottom is typically curved.

Flow wrapping (also commonly referred to as “overwrapping”) is a style of wrapping that is used for single serve products, promotional items, samples, or smaller pieced items going in a larger bag. Great for single serve and on-the-go formats, the flow wrap is an ideal package type that can be used for its convenience.

This format is great for the bag in box concepts for items such as granola bars, single serve cookies, portioned control snacks and much more.

Anything that needs to be tightly wrapped individually would be an ideal product for Flow Wrap Packaging.
